Katie Frampton is a string and general music teacher in the Avon Public School system. A graduate from The Hartt School in West Hartford, Conn., she was awarded with a Bachelors of Music, Cum Laude from the University of Hartford in May 2006.

In addition to Working in Avon, Katie teaches many private music lesson and classes. Her private music students consists of string and piano players.

A violist, Katie has performed with the Wallingford Symphony Orchestra, Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra, the New Britain Symphony and the West Hartford Symphony. Last summer, Katie had the opportunity to play with the Bay Youth Orchestras of Virginia at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. Katie has previously performed with the Yokosuka Symphony Orchestra in Yokosuka, Japan; and with the National Festival Orchestra, under the direction of Conductor Lukas Foss, in Carnegie Hall.

Katie is the Newsletter Editor for the Connecticut ASTA Chapter, and also adjudicates High School and Middle School Regionals and All-State Festivals throughout Connecticut.
